Traviss Technical College is a public career and technical education college in Lakeland, Florida. The college offers programs in aviation, automotive, construction, cosmetology, culinary arts, healthcare, and welding.

Traviss Technical College was founded in 1971 as Polk Community College-Traviss Center. The college was named after John Traviss, who was a state senator and a member of the Board of Regents for the State University System of Florida. In 1972, the college became a separate institution and was renamed Traviss Area Vocational-Technical Center. In 1986, the name was changed to Traviss Technical Institute. In 2001, the name was changed to Traviss Career Center. In 2010, the name was changed to Traviss Technical College.

The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees and diplomas. The college is also accredited by the following agencies: Aviation Accreditation Board International, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, and National Center for Construction Education and Research.

Traviss Technical College is located on a 55-acre campus in Lakeland, Florida. The campus includes six buildings: the Administration Building, the Health Sciences Building, the Technical Education Building, the Applied Technologies Building, the Student Services Building, and the Traviss Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

The college offers Associate in Science degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Automotive Service Technology, Construction Management Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and Health Information Technology. The college also offers Associate in Applied Science degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Automotive Service Technology, Construction Management Technology, and Welding Technology. In addition, the college offers diplomas in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Automotive Service Technology, Construction Management Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and Welding Technology.

Traviss Technical College is a member of the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Community Colleges and the Florida Association of Community Colleges. The college is also a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the National Association of Industrial and Technical Teacher Educators, and the National Aviation Academy.
