Rockland County BOCES-Practical Nursing Program in West Nyack New York is a two-year program that provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a licensed practical nurse. The program is accredited by the New York State Board of Nursing and is approved by the National League for Nursing. The program is designed to prepare students for the licensure examination and to provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful in their chosen career. The program curriculum includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, and mental health nursing. In addition to classroom instruction, students in the program participate in clinical experiences at local hospitals and nursing homes. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
