Orleans/Niagara BOCES Practical Nursing Program is a full-time, day program that runs for nine months. The program is accredited by the New York State Board of Nursing and prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. The program curriculum includes coursework in anatomy and physiology, medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatric nursing, and more. Clinical experiences are an important part of the program and are completed at various hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the Niagara region. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
