National Latino Education Institute (NLEI) in Chicago, Illinois is a nonprofit organization that provides educational opportunities to the Latino community. NLEI offers a variety of programs and services that help Latinos succeed in school and in life. NLEI’s programs include early childhood education, after-school programs, college prep, and adult education. NLEI also provides support services such as tutoring, mentoring, and college and career counseling. In addition, NLEI offers cultural and social activities that help the Latino community connect and thrive.

NLEI was founded in 1985 by a group of concerned educators, business and community leaders who saw the need for quality educational opportunities for the growing Latino population in Chicago. NLEI is one of the oldest and largest Latino educational organizations in the Midwest. NLEI’s programs are based on the belief that all Latinos have the right to a quality education that will prepare them for success in school and in life.

NLEI’s programs are open to all Latinos, regardless of immigration status. NLEI is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all. NLEI’s campus is located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, a historically Latino community. NLEI is proud to be a part of the Pilsen community and to serve the residents of Pilsen and the surrounding communities.
