Century College is a public institution of higher learning located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The college offers associate's degrees in arts, sciences, and applied sciences, as well as bachelor's degrees in business administration and nursing. The college also offers a variety of certificate programs.
The college was founded in 1966 as the Puerto Rico Junior College. In 1972, the college was renamed Century College. The college is part of the Puerto Rico Community College System.
The college has two campuses, the main campus in San Juan and the Centro de Bellas Artes campus in Carolina. The main campus is located on a 38-acre (15-hectare) site in the Hato Rey section of San Juan. The Centro de Bellas Artes campus is located on a 10-acre (4-hectare) site in Carolina.
The college offers a wide range of student services, including academic advising, career counseling, tutoring, and placement services. The college also has a library, a computer lab, and a bookstore.
The college is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees. The president of the college is the chief executive officer.
The college is funded by the Puerto Rico Department of Education and the Puerto Rico Legislature. The college is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
