The American Institute of Interior Design (AIID) in Fountain Hills, Arizona is a professional organization that provides education, certification, and networking opportunities for interior designers. The AIID was founded in 1984 and is the only organization in the United States that offers a comprehensive interior design education program leading to a professional designation. The AIID offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Interior Design as well as a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. The AIID also offers a variety of certification programs for those who wish to specialize in a particular area of interior design, such as kitchen and bath design, sustainable design, or lighting design.
