Founded in 1828, the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is the oldest pharmacy school and the second-oldest health sciences school in the United States. The University is committed to educating health care professionals and scientists, advancing health care and discovering new treatments and cures. The University comprises five colleges: the College of Pharmacy, the College of Nursing, the College of Allied Health Professions, the Graduate School, and the School of Medicine.

The College of Pharmacy is ranked 11th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and offers six pharmacy degree programs. The College of Nursing is ranked 14th in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and offers five nursing degree programs. The College of Allied Health Professions offers 19 degree and certificate programs in a variety of allied health fields. The Graduate School offers more than 50 graduate degree and certificate programs. The School of Medicine is ranked in the top 50 medical schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and offers the MD, PhD, and MD/PhD degrees.
