Tacoma Community College (TCC) is a public community college in Tacoma, Washington. Founded in 1965, the college serves over 12,000 students each year. The college offers associate's degrees and professional certificates in over 100 programs, as well as bachelor's degrees in partnership with four-year colleges and universities.
TCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The college's main campus is located in the heart of Tacoma's business and shopping district, near the Tacoma Dome. The college also has two satellite campuses, one in Gig Harbor and one in Lakewood.
TCC is a member of the Washington Community and Technical College System, and is one of 34 colleges in the state. The college is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees, which is appointed by the Governor of Washington. The college is led by President Dr. Leila Fletcher, who has served in that role since 2014.
TCC offers a wide variety of academic programs and services to its students. The college has five academic divisions: Arts and Humanities; Business, Social, and Behavioral Sciences; Education and Human Development; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
The college also offers a number of student support services, including tutoring, career counseling, and financial aid. In addition, TCC has a number of student clubs and organizations, as well as athletics teams.
