Eden Theological Seminary is a private graduate school affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The seminary is located in Webster Groves, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. It is the oldest continuously operating Methodist seminary in the United States, and it is one of only four seminaries affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Eden Theological Seminary was founded in 1817 by Methodist missionaries who had been sent to the American frontier. The seminary's first president was the Rev. John McMurray, who served from 1817 to 1820. The seminary's second president was the Rev. William McKendree, who served from 1820 to 1832.

Eden Theological Seminary has been accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada since 1938. The seminary offers Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Ministry degrees.

Eden Theological Seminary is home to the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics, which was founded in 2006. The center is a nonpartisan research and education institute that explores the role of religion and politics in public life.

Eden Theological Seminary is also home to the St. Louis Theological Seminary, which was founded in 1818 and is the oldest graduate school in Missouri. The seminary offers Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Ministry degrees.
