Tuskegee University is located in Tuskegee, Alabama, and is a private, historically black university. The university was established in 1881 by Booker T. Washington. The campus is situated on the historic grounds of the Tuskegee Institute, which was founded by Lewis Adams and George W. Carver. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, including engineering, architecture, nursing, veterinary medicine, and business. The school is also home to the Tuskegee University National Historic Site, which includes the Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site and the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.
