The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is a public research university in Edinburg, Texas. It is part of the University of Texas System. The university was established in 2013 as a result of the merger of the University of Texas at Brownsville and the University of Texas–Pan American. UTRGV has an enrollment of over 28,000 students, making it the largest university in the Rio Grande Valley and the fourth largest in Texas. The university offers over 140 undergraduate and graduate programs.

UTRGV is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
