Tennessee Technological University (TTU) is a public university in Cookeville, Tennessee. It was founded in 1915 as the Dixie Normal College and is currently the state's largest technological university. It offers over 50 undergraduate majors and over 20 graduate programs. It is home to the Center for the Study of the Civil War, the Appalachian Center for Craft, and the Tennessee Polytechnic Museum.

TTU's athletic teams, the Golden Eagles, compete in NCAA Division I. The men's and women's basketball teams have both won conference championships and made appearances in the NCAA tournament. The football team has also won conference championships and made bowl game appearances.

TTU has a long history of academic and research excellence. It is a member of the Association of American Universities and is ranked among the top public universities in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
