South University-Montgomery is a private, for-profit university in Montgomery, Alabama. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees.
The university was founded in 1899 as the Southern Business College, and later became the Southern College of Business. In 1974, the college was renamed South University. The university's first Montgomery campus opened in 1984.
