Memphis College of Art is a small, private art college located in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee. The college was founded in 1930 and has an enrollment of approximately 400 students. The college offers Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees in a variety of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, graphic design, and illustration. Memphis College of Art also offers a number of non-degree programs, such as continuing education courses and summer art camps for children.

The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is a member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. Memphis College of Art is one of only a handful of art colleges in the United States that requires all its students to complete a foundation year before beginning their course of study. After completing the foundation year, students can choose to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts or a Master of Fine Arts degree. The Bachelor of Fine Arts program is a four-year program that includes both studio coursework and liberal arts classes. The Master of Fine Arts program is a two-year program that focuses primarily on studio coursework.

Graduates of Memphis College of Art have gone on to successful careers in a variety of fields, including graphic design, advertising, illustration, and fine art. The college has produced a number of notable alumni, including painters Carroll Sockwell and Beverly Buchanan, photographer William Eggleston, and graphic designer George Lois.
