Huntington University of Health Sciences is a private, non-profit university located in downtown Huntington, West Virginia. The university was founded in 1858 as the Medical Department of Marshall College, and became an independent institution in 1991. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers degrees in the health sciences, including osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and public health.

The public health program is a two-year program that leads to the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. The curriculum includes coursework in the basic sciences, epidemiology, and public health. Students also complete a practicum in a public health setting.
