Colorado State University Pueblo is a public university located in Pueblo, Colorado. The university was founded in 1933 as the Southern Colorado State Normal School to train teachers for the local rural areas. The school became a four-year institution in 1957 and was renamed Southern Colorado State College. In 1965, the Colorado General Assembly renamed the school Colorado State University - Pueblo. The university offers over 50 undergraduate programs and 20 graduate programs.

The university is located on a 160-acre campus in the heart of Pueblo. The campus includes several academic and administrative buildings, a library, a recreation center, and athletic facilities. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
