Arapahoe Community College (ACC) is a public, two-year institution of higher education located in the Denver metropolitan area of Colorado, United States. The college has an open-door admissions policy, meaning that any person who meets the minimum requirements for admission is welcome to enroll. ACC offers associate degrees and certificate programs in a variety of academic and career-oriented fields, as well as a number of personal enrichment courses. The college also provides a number of services to its students, including tutoring, advising, and job placement assistance.

ACC was founded in 1965 as Arapahoe Junior College, and was the first two-year college in the Denver area. The college was established in response to a growing need for higher education in the area, and was originally housed in a former high school building. In its early years, the college primarily served students who were preparing to transfer to four-year institutions. However, over time the college began to offer more career-oriented programs and today serves a diverse student body.

ACC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college is also accredited by a number of professional organizations, including the National League for Nursing and the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation.

ACC is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees, which is appointed by the Colorado Board of Regents. The college is led by a president, who is responsible for the overall operation of the college.

ACC is funded primarily through tuition and state appropriations. The college also generates revenue through the sale of services and the operation of its Foundation, which raises money through private donations.

ACC is located on two campuses in the Denver metropolitan area, one in Littleton and one in Parker. The college also has a number of off-campus locations, including a center in Castle Rock and an aviation training facility in Englewood. ACC serves a population of over 24,000 students, the majority of whom are Colorado residents.
