Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS) is a seminary of the Mennonite Church USA and the Canadian Mennonite Brethren. It is located in Elkhart, Indiana, United States. AMBS is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
The seminary was founded in 1911 as the Mennonite Biblical Seminary of Chicago. In 1925, the seminary moved to Goshen, Indiana. In 1961, the seminary was renamed to its current name.
The seminary's stated mission is "to educate Anabaptist-Mennonite pastors, church leaders and other servants for the church of Jesus Christ around the world."
The seminary offers the following degree programs: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Biblical Studies, Master of Arts in Anabaptist Studies, and Doctor of Ministry.
The seminary's faculty consists of scholars from a variety of Anabaptist traditions. The seminary is a member of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities.
The seminary's library holds over 100,000 volumes. The seminary is also home to the Mennonite Historical Library, which holds over 1.5 million items related to the history of the Mennonite church.
