The University of Western States (UWS) is a private, non-profit university located in Portland, Oregon, United States. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the health sciences and related fields.

Founded in 1904, UWS is one of the oldest health sciences universities in the western United States. The university is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and by professional accrediting organizations in its various programs.

UWS offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs in the health sciences and related fields. Undergraduate programs include pre-professional programs in chiropractic, human nutrition and functional medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Graduate programs include masters and doctoral degrees in chiropractic, clinical nutrition, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture and oriental medicine, sport and exercise science, and rehabilitation sciences.

The university also offers a number of online programs, including a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and a Doctor of Chiropractic.
