Founded in 1890, the University of Central Oklahoma is the third largest university in Oklahoma with more than 17,000 students enrolled. The university offers more than 150 undergraduate and graduate programs through its five colleges: the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Education and Professional Studies, the College of Business, the College of Mathematics and Science, and the Meinders School of Music. The University of Central Oklahoma is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The university is also a member of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education. The University of Central Oklahoma is located in Edmond, Oklahoma, about 20 minutes north of Oklahoma City.
