The Theological Seminary of the Reformed Episcopal Church is a seminary located in New York City. It is an accredited institution of the Reformed Episcopal Church, and offers Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Religion degrees. The seminary is also a member of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. The seminary was founded in 1873 by the Rt. Rev. George David Cummins, the first Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church. The seminary's mission is to prepare men and women for ordained and lay ministry in the Reformed Episcopal Church and in other churches of the Anglican Communion. The seminary is committed to the inerrancy of Scripture, the Nicene Creed, and the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion. The seminary faculty consists of scholars who are committed to the Reformed Episcopal Church and its theological tradition. The seminary offers a variety of courses, including Old and New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology, Pastoral Theology, and Homiletics. The seminary has a diverse student body, representing many different denominations and churches. The seminary is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
