The University of Findlay is a comprehensive university located in Findlay, Ohio, United States. The university offers more than 70 undergraduate majors and programs, and over 50 graduate programs. The University of Findlay is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The University of Findlay was founded in 1882 as Findlay College by the Church of God. The college was originally located in the First English Lutheran Church in Findlay, Ohio. In 1884, the college moved to its current location on College Hill. In 1900, the college was renamed Findlay College and Academy. In 1953, the college was accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In 1959, the college was renamed The University of Findlay. The University of Findlay is home to the Mazza Museum, the largest collection of children's book illustrations in the world. The museum is located in the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion on the university's campus. The University of Findlay is also home to the Winebrenner Theological Seminary. The seminary is located on the university's campus and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
