Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education located in Wake Forest, North Carolina, United States. SEBTS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. The seminary is also a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Founded in 1950, SEBTS trains men and women for ministry in the local church. The seminary offers over 70 different programs of study, including master's degrees and doctorates, as well as certificates and continuing education courses.
SEBTS is committed to the inerrancy and authority of Scripture, the need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and the importance of the local church. The seminary's mission is to glorify God by equipping students to serve the local church and fulfill the Great Commission.
