Point Park University is a private university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The university is a member of the National Association of Schools of Dance, the National Association of Schools of Music, and the National Association of Schools of Theatre. Point Park was founded in 1960 as a performing arts college by the Pittsburgh Playhouse. The university offers more than 50 undergraduate and graduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences, business, communication, education, and the fine and performing arts.
Point Park University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university is organized into six schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Communication, the School of Education, the School of Fine Arts, and the Conservatory of Performing Arts.
The School of Arts and Sciences offers bachelor's degrees in more than 30 majors and concentrations. The school also offers master's degrees in communication, English, history, and liberal studies, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in communication.
The School of Business offers bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, and management. The school also offers a Doctor of Business Administration.
The School of Communication offers bachelor's and master's degrees in communication, communication studies, film and video production, journalism, public relations, and theatre.
The School of Education offers bachelor's and master's degrees in elementary and secondary education, as well as special education. The school also offers a Doctor of Education.
The School of Fine Arts offers bachelor's and master's degrees in art, dance, music, and theatre.
The Conservatory of Performing Arts offers bachelor's and master's degrees in dance, music, and theatre.
