Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Wilkes-Barre is a public university located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It is a part of the Pennsylvania State University System, and offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees. The campus is situated on 170 acres of land, and is home to over 1,000 students. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre was established in 1951 as a satellite campus of Pennsylvania State University. The campus originally offered only evening classes to working adults. In 1963, the campus expanded its offerings to include daytime classes for traditional students. In 1971, the campus moved to its current location in Wilkes-Barre. In 1975, the campus began offering bachelor's degrees. In 1983, the campus expanded again, this time adding graduate programs.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Undergraduate programs include business, engineering, liberal arts, and science. Graduate programs include business, education, and nursing. The campus also offers a number of research opportunities for students.
