Oregon State University (OSU) is a public research university in the northwest United States, located in Corvallis, Oregon. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate degree programs along with a variety of graduate and doctoral degrees.
Founded in 1868 as the state's land-grant university, OSU is one of the largest universities in the Pacific Northwest, with a student body of over 30,000. The university's operating budget for fiscal year 2015 was $2.013 billion, with an endowment of $1.014 billion.

OSU is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), an organization of 62 leading research universities in the United States and Canada. The university's athletic teams, the Beavers, compete in the NCAA Division I Pacific-12 Conference. OSU's football team has been to the Fiesta Bowl three times (1965, 2000, and 2016), while its men's basketball team has made one Final Four appearance (1949).
