Ohio Northern University (ONU) is a private university in Ada, Ohio. It was founded in 1871 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in a number of different fields, including business, engineering, law, and pharmacy.
ONU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The university is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
The university's campus is located on a scenic, wooded, 1,200-acre (4.9 km2) site in Ada, Ohio. The campus features a number of historic buildings, including the Kinghorn Hall of Administration, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The university's sports teams are known as the Polar Bears and compete in the NCAA Division III Ohio Athletic Conference. The university offers a variety of intramural and club sports, and students can also participate in a number of outdoor activities through the school's Outdoor Recreation program.
