Nashotah House is a seminary of the Episcopal Church located in Nashotah, Wisconsin, on the shores of Lake Nagawicka. The seminary was founded in 1842 by members of the Oxford Movement, a group of Anglican clergymen who sought to return the Episcopal Church to its Catholic roots. Nashotah House is one of the oldest and most respected Episcopal seminaries in the United States. The seminary's campus includes a number of historic buildings, including the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Nashotah House is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and offers a number of degree programs, including a Master of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Religion, and a Doctor of Ministry. The seminary's alumni include a number of notable clergymen, including the Rt. Rev. Richard John Neuhaus, the Rt. Rev. William Swing, and the Rt. Rev. John Shelby Spong.
