Muhlenberg College is a private liberal arts college located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The college was founded in 1848 by the Pennsylvania Ministerium of the German Reformed Church. The college is named for Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, the German-American pastor of the Reformed Church who was instrumental in organizing the church in the American colonies. Muhlenberg College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The college offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in more than 60 majors and concentrations. Muhlenberg is a member of the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges and the Association of American Colleges and Universities. The college is also home to the Martin Guitar Museum and the Muhlenberg College Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
