Morehouse College is a private, all-male, historically black college in Atlanta, Georgia. The college is one of the few remaining traditional men's liberal arts colleges in the United States. Morehouse is the largest men's college in the nation with an enrollment over 2,000 students. The student-to-faculty ratio is 13-to-1.

The college was founded in 1867 by the Reverend William J. Simmons as the Augusta Institute. It was renamed Morehouse College in 1913 in honor of Dr. Henry L. Morehouse, the second president of the institution. Morehouse has been affiliated with the United Methodist Church since its founding.

The college offers bachelor's degrees in 33 fields of study. The most popular majors are business administration, psychology, sociology, and biology. Morehouse is also one of the few colleges in the country to offer a bachelor's degree in African-American Studies.

The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Morehouse is a member of the Atlanta University Center Consortium, the United Negro College Fund, and the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

The Morehouse College campus is located on the historic West End of Atlanta. The campus includes 36 buildings on 22 acres of land. The college is home to the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel, the Morehouse College Museum of African American History, and the Andrew Young Center for Global Leadership.

Morehouse College is ranked #3 among historically black colleges and universities, #6 among liberal arts colleges, and #28 among all colleges and universities in the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
