Founded in 1936, Marian University is a Catholic, comprehensive university located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. With a student body of nearly 3,000, Marian offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programs in liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies, as well as doctorates in physical therapy and nursing practice. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Marian University's campus is situated on 80 acres of land in the heart of Fond du Lac. The university's main academic building, Stayer Center, houses the majority of the university's classrooms, laboratories, and offices. The Stayer Center is also home to the Marian University Library, which houses a collection of over 200,000 books, periodicals, and other materials.
In addition to the Stayer Center, Marian University's campus includes the Sadoff Gymnasium, the H.F. Johnson Recreation Center, the St. Francis Center for Health Care Education, the St. Joseph Center for Spiritual Life, and a variety of residence halls. Marian University also owns and operates a retreat center, Camp Philip, located in Wautoma, Wisconsin.
Marian University's academic programs are divided into five colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Health Professions, the College of Nursing and Health Professions, the College of Business and Economics, and the College of Applied Science and Technology. Within each college, students can choose from a variety of majors and minors, as well as graduate and doctoral programs.
Marian University is committed to providing a well-rounded education to its students. In addition to academic coursework, students at Marian University are required to complete a core curriculum that includes courses in the arts, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Marian University also offers a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, as well as intramural sports, to its students.
