Loyola University New Orleans is a private Jesuit research university in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1912, Loyola is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Loyola University New Orleans' main campus is located on St. Charles Avenue in the Uptown section of New Orleans. The St. Charles Avenue Campus houses the College of Arts and Sciences, the Joseph A. Butt, S.J., College of Business, the College of Law, the Loyola School of Mass Communication, the Loyola Marymount College of New Orleans, and the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. Loyola's downtown campus, the Broadway Campus, is located in the heart of the New Orleans Central Business District. The Broadway Campus houses the Loyola School of Education and the School of Social Work.

Loyola University New Orleans is home to the Loyola Wolfpack athletics teams. The Wolfpack competes in NCAA Division I and is a member of the Southern Conference. Loyola's men's basketball team won the 1963 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, making them the only team from Louisiana to win a NCAA Division I basketball championship.

Loyola University New Orleans was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1912. The university is named for St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. Loyola University New Orleans was established as a Catholic institution of higher learning in an effort to provide quality education to the people of New Orleans and the surrounding area.
