Lindsey Wilson College is a private four-year liberal arts college in Columbia, Kentucky. The college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It was founded in 1903 as Lindsey Wilson Training School, a two-year normal school to train teachers. The school was named after John Lindsey Wilson, a circuit-riding Methodist minister who founded several schools in Kentucky. The school became a four-year college in 1931 and was renamed after its founder in 1943. The college has an enrollment of about 1,500 students. The campus is located on a 200-acre (81 ha) site in a residential area of Columbia. The college offers bachelor's degrees in more than 30 majors and several pre-professional programs. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
