In 1867, the Oregon Legislature established Lewis & Clark College in Portland. The college moved to its present location in the southwest hills of Portland in 1938. Lewis & Clark is Oregon's only private college with a student body representing all 50 states and more than 60 countries. The college offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and programs and graduate programs in education, counseling, and business. Lewis & Clark is nationally known for its innovative and rigorous academic programs, its commitment to sustainability, its engaged and supportive community, and its beautiful campus.
