Founded in 1894, Hood Theological Seminary is a graduate school affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. It is located in the historic West End of Charlotte, North Carolina. The seminary offers Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Christian Education, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. It is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.

The seminary's mission is to prepare men and women for effective Christian leadership in the Church and the world.
