Dordt University is a private, Christian university located in Sioux Center, Iowa. It was founded in 1955 as Dordt College by a group of Reformed Church in America pastors and laymen. The school's namesake is the Dutch city of Dordt-in-Grave, which was the site of the Synod of Dordt. The university's stated mission is "to equip students to serve Christ and lead His church and world."
