Cranbrook Academy of Art is an independent, non-profit, graduate school of art, design, and architecture in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The academy is a community of artists, designers, and architects committed to an interdisciplinary approach to education and creative practice. Cranbrook Academy of Art offers Master of Fine Arts degrees in art, design, and architecture, as well as post-graduate fellowships and artist-in-residence programs.

The academy was founded in 1932 by George Gough Booth, an automobile entrepreneur, and his wife, Ellen Scripps Booth, a philanthropist. The Booths had a strong interest in the arts, and their vision was to create an institution that would nurture the talent of young artists and designers.

Cranbrook Academy of Art is situated on a beautiful campus that includes the Cranbrook Art Museum, the Cranbrook Institute of Science, and the Cranbrook Kingswood Schools. The academy is committed to providing its students with a rigorous education that emphasizes critical thinking, creative problem solving, and collaboration.

Cranbrook Academy of Art has a long history of producing groundbreaking artists and designers. alumni include Ray and Charles Eames, Harry Bertoia, Florence Knoll, and George Nelson.
