Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) is a world-renowned conservatory of music located in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. It is one of the four major music conservatories in the United States and the only one in Ohio. CIM offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of musical disciplines, including composition, performance, music history, and music theory.

The institute was founded in 1920 by Adella Prentiss Hughes and George Szell. It was originally known as the Cleveland Conservatory of Music and was located in the historic Wade Park district. In 1926, the conservatory moved to its current location on Euclid Avenue.

CIM has an enrollment of approximately 400 students, most of whom are undergraduates. The student body represents more than 40 countries and all 50 states. The average class size is 12 students.

The faculty of CIM is composed of more than 130 artists, scholars, and educators from around the world. The institute offers more than 1,000 performances each year, many of which are free and open to the public.

CIM is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities. The institute is also a member of the International Association of Universities.
