Founded in 1869, Chatham University is a fully co-educational institution located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Chatham University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the arts and sciences, business and economics, health sciences, and sustainability. The university is comprised of five schools: the School of Arts, Sciences and Business, the School of Health Sciences, the School of Sustainability, the Falk School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, and the Shadyside School of Nursing.

Chatham University's main campus is located in the historic Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The university also has a 37-acre (15 ha) Eden Hall Campus in Richland Township, North Allegheny County, which serves as the home of the Falk School of Sport and Exercise Sciences and the School of Sustainability.

Chatham University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC). The Falk School of Sport and Exercise Sciences is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
