Central Wyoming College (CWC) is a public two-year college in Riverton, Wyoming. It is the only community college in the state and one of the largest in the Rocky Mountain region. The college offers associate's degrees and certificate programs in a variety of fields, as well as a bachelor's degree in nursing. CWC also has a campus in Jackson, Wyoming, which offers a limited selection of courses.
CWC was founded in 1966 as a branch of the University of Wyoming. It became an independent institution in 1968 and began offering its own degrees in 1970. The college has grown steadily in the years since, adding new programs and facilities. Today, it serves over 4,000 students from across Wyoming and the surrounding states.
CWC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also accredited by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
