Caribbean University-Ponce is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning located in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of disciplines, including business, education, engineering, and nursing.

Founded in 1966, Caribbean University-Ponce was originally established as a two-year college. In 1973, the institution was granted university status by the Puerto Rican government and began offering four-year degree programs. Today, the university enrolls over 5,000 students in its various programs.

Caribbean University-Ponce is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university is also a member of the Puerto Rico Association of Universities and Colleges, as well as the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.

The university’s campus is located on the grounds of the former Ponce Municipal Airport. The campus covers over 100 acres and features a variety of facilities, including academic buildings, administrative offices, a library, a student center, and athletic facilities.

The university’s academic programs are organized into five schools: the School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Engineering, the School of Nursing, and the School of Liberal Arts.
