Baldwin Wallace University is a private university in Berea, Ohio. The school was founded in 1845 as Baldwin Institute by Methodist settlers. The school was later renamed Baldwin University, and then Baldwin-Wallace College after a merger with nearby German Wallace College in 1913. The university has an enrollment of around 3,000 students and offers over 50 undergraduate majors and programs, as well as a number of master's degrees and doctoral programs. The school is known for its strong liberal arts and sciences programs, as well as its business, education, and music programs. BWU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
