Asbury Theological Seminary's mission is to prepare men and women for ministry in the church of Jesus Christ worldwide. The seminary offers a number of degree programs designed to meet the needs of students who are called to ministry. These programs include the Master of Divinity, the Master of Arts in Religion, the Doctor of Ministry, and the Doctor of Philosophy. In addition to these degree programs, Asbury Theological Seminary also offers a number of certificate and non-degree programs.

Asbury Theological Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. The seminary is also a member of the Kentucky Council of Churches and the National Association of Evangelicals.
