It was established in 1984 as Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. In 2018, the college was renamed AdventHealth University.
AHU offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in health sciences and nursing. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
