Founded in 1855, Millersville University is a public university in Millersville, Pennsylvania. It is one of fourteen schools that make up the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees through its five colleges: College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences; College of Education and Human Development; College of Science and Technology; School of Business Administration; and Graduate School.

The Millersville campus is located in the borough of Millersville, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles (48 km) east of Harrisburg, the state capital. The university is situated on 102 acres (41 ha) of land. The campus is home to a variety of academic and administrative buildings, as well as athletic facilities, residence halls, and a student center.

The Millersville University community is made up of more than 6,000 students from across the United States and more than 40 countries. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as a number of non-degree programs.

Millersville University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The university's athletic teams compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and are members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

The Millersville campus was originally home to the Millersville Academy, a school for boys founded in 1855. The academy was renamed the Millersville State Normal School in 1859, and became a state teachers college in 1927. The school became Millersville State College in 1960 and Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 1983.
