Vermont Community Colleges


Vermont is home to seven community colleges, offering a wide range of educational opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. The colleges provide a variety of certificate and degree programs, as well as workforce development and continuing education classes. The Vermont State Colleges System is comprised of Castleton University, Community College of Vermont, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Vermont Technical College, and the Vermont Law School.

Castleton University is the oldest and largest of the Vermont State Colleges. It offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in more than 50 areas of study. The university also has a thriving athletics program, including men's and women's teams in basketball, soccer, and lacrosse.

Johnson State College is a public liberal arts college in Johnson, Vermont. The college offers more than 40 degree programs in the arts and sciences, as well as a variety of professional studies, including business and healthcare. Johnson State College also offers a range of student activities and clubs, as well as an active athletics program.
