Admission Requirements
Western Nevada College is a two-year institution of higher education that is part of the Nevada System of Higher Education. The college has an open-door admissions policy, meaning that any student who meets the minimum requirements for admission will be accepted into the college.
The minimum requirements for admission to Western Nevada College are as follows:
1. The applicant must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
2. The applicant must have completed a college preparatory program.
3. The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
4. The applicant must take and pass a placement test.
5. The applicant must submit an application for admission.
6. The applicant must pay the application fee.
7. The applicant must submit official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities attended.
8. The applicant must meet all immunization requirements.
9. The applicant must complete a criminal background check.
10. The applicant must complete a financial aid application.
11. The applicant must meet all other requirements as determined by the college.
Once the applicant has met all of the requirements for admission, they will be issued an acceptance letter and will be able to register for classes.
