West Virginia University Institute of Technology, also known as WVU Tech, is a public four-year university located in Beckley, West Virginia, United States. It is a land-grant university and is a member institution of the West Virginia University system. The university offers associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees.

WVU Tech was founded in 1891 as the New River State School, a mine mechanics school. The school became the New River State College in 1931 and the West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1959. The school became a part of the West Virginia University system in 1968.

WVU Tech has an enrollment of about 2,000 students. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The university offers a variety of programs in engineering, business, and liberal arts.

WVU Tech is home to the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center, which is the only center of its kind in the United States. The center offers a variety of programs and services to help students prepare for careers in the aerospace industry.
