Founded in 1877, the University of Hartford is a private, independent, nonsectarian institution of higher learning located in West Hartford, Connecticut. The University of Hartford offers more than 100 undergraduate programs and 80 graduate programs in seven schools and colleges, including the Barney School of Business, the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture, the College of the Arts, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Hartford Art School, and the Hillyer College of Graduate and Continuing Studies.
