The University of Guam (UOG) is a public land-grant university located in the village of Mangilao on the island of Guam in the Western Pacific Ocean. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. UOG's main campus is situated on a 306-acre (1.23 km2) site overlooking Pago Bay in the central part of the island. The university also has two satellite campuses, one in the village of Dededo and another in the city of Hagåtña.

UOG offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in over 40 areas of study through its four academic units: the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Public Administration, the School of Education, and the School of Health Sciences. The university also houses the Center for Island Sustainability, the Center for Micronesian Studies, the Marine Laboratory, and the Water Resources Research Institute.

UOG was established in 1952 as the Territorial College of Guam, a two-year institution providing post-secondary education to the people of Guam. In 1964, the college was renamed the College of Guam and granted four-year status. In 1970, the college moved to its current location in Mangilao and began offering graduate programs. In 1972, the college was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In 1975, the college was renamed the University of Guam.

UOG has an enrollment of approximately 4,000 students, most of whom are from Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Marshall Islands. The university's student-to-faculty ratio is 18:1.

UOG is governed by a nine-member Board of Regents, eight of whom are appointed by the Governor of Guam and one student regent who is elected by the student body. The university's president is appointed by the Board of Regents.

The University of Guam is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It is also a member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning.

The University of Guam is classified as a Doctoral/Research University by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
